UCI Mountain Bike World Cup 2025: Early Season Highlights

The 2025 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup has kicked off with exciting races and notable performances. The season commenced in Araxá, Brazil, featuring intense competitions in Cross-Country Olympic (XCO) and Short Track (XCC) disciplines.​

Evie Richards, the reigning XCC World Champion from Trek Factory Racing-Pirelli secured back-to-back victories in Araxá, bringing her total to seven career World Cup short track wins. This achievement surpasses Pauline Ferrand-Prévot's record, making Richards the most successful elite woman in XCC history.

Christopher Blevins: The American rider dominated the men's XCC events, winning both rounds in Araxá and leading the elite standings with 500 points. ​
