RaceFace Introduces ERA Handlebar in 55mm Rise
Just like OneUp with their new V2 55mm rise, Race Face has introduce a new Era handlebar with 55 millimeters of rise. This new version responds to a growing trend in disciplines like trail and enduro, where high-rise handlebars are becoming popular among riders who prioritize control on descents and ergonomics during long climbs.
The new handlebar is 800 mm wide — adjustable down to 760 mm — and made from GL Tuned carbon. This GL Tuned design narrows the clamping area around the stem (or stem cap), allowing for a faster taper and positioning the rise closer to the stem, which results in a higher effective rise. The goal is to strike the optimal balance between stiffness and flex, making it strong, precise, and comfortable — reducing arm pain and hand fatigue.
According to Race Face, this new handlebar aims to reduce fatigue in the arms and back, allowing for a more upright pedaling position and better impact absorption on technical terrain.
In addition to its carbon construction, the Race Face Era 55 is built to withstand use on all-mountain and enduro eBikes. With this new model, Race Face expands cockpit customization options for riders who prefer higher-rise handlebars, joining other models in the Era and Turbine (aluminum) lines available in different materials and sizes.
The new Era 55 mm is now available at a recommended price of €160 and includes a lifetime warranty, even in the event of a crash.
