In addition this new colorway, Santacruz could be announcing new kits and a brand new Bullit to replace the current Shimano driven model that has been in the market for over 3 years, we expect to see this new ebike featuring a Bosch system and likely a similar look to the current Vala. On Friday, January 20, 2025, Tasmanian-born marine scientist, environmental activist, and mountain bike enthusiast Annie Ford set a new world record for the most vertical descent in 24 hours. Riding her Santa Cruz V10 at Coronet Peak Bike Park in Queenstown, New Zealand, Annie descended an astonishing 55,747 meters (182,831 feet).
To achieve this monumental feat, she completed 133 laps of the bike park, covering a total distance of 412 km (256 miles). Her record-breaking ride was part of a fundraising effort to support reforestation in the Coronet Peak area. By the time she finished, Annie had raised over $35,000 to help restore the breathtaking landscape where her achievement took place. Donations remain open for those who wish to contribute.
