Introducing: Casey Brown | Outdoor Research
Making history at the first-ever women's Rampage, Casey Brown's story has always revolved around two wheels. Freeride mountain biking started as a family passion but it truly clicked at age 14 after a trip to Whistler. There, she discovered her love for jump lines, flowy trails, and the freedom of creative riding.
Casey is known for riding by instinct, letting the terrain guide her style and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. One of her proudest moments? Dropping into a full top-to-bottom Rampage run on a line she helped design, dig, and test completely on her own—a rare feat in freeride.
Casey Brown stands as a pivotal figure in the advancement of women's freeride mountain biking, dedicating her career to fostering opportunities and visibility for female riders in a traditionally male-dominated sport.
Brown has been a vocal advocate for the inclusion of women in premier freeride events like Red Bull Rampage. Her persistent efforts contributed to the establishment of Red Bull Formation, an event that provides women with a platform to showcase their skills on challenging terrain. Despite setbacks, including event postponements, Brown remains committed to pushing for equal representation in such high-profile competitions.
Beyond organizing events, Brown actively mentors up-and-coming female riders, offering guidance and support to help them navigate the sport. Her participation in films like ANYTIME by Anthill Films serves to increase visibility for women's freeride, inspiring a new generation of riders.
Through these initiatives, Casey Brown continues to play an instrumental role in shaping a more inclusive and supportive landscape for women in freeride mountain biking.
